SKU search for Microsoft products

Please have a look onto the screenshot from the Ingram Marketplace. Ingram and Techdata, Also Actebis, ADN Distribution and some others like Terra Cloud have this function since 5 years.

When offer tags become available, you can add vendor product number as tags. This will allow anyone to search catalog by them. I think we could also look into making offer tags appear in the invoice data for the corresponding subscriptions. What do you think?

Alternatively, you can add product numbers to invoices via custom offer fields already today. Here's how: https://support.appxite.com/hc/en-us/articles/7659852937628-How-to-add-Custom-Properties-to-Offer-. However, product numbers saved as custom fields won't be searchable in catalog.

this i not what we want. We want a searchfuction via Vendor Productnumber. At the moment we could onl search via nam or description. Also my question, is it possible to get the used vendor pproduct number in the reconsiliation file?

Good news! Here's what already started working on:

1. Sellers will be able to tag each individual offer, as opposed to entire product today.

2. Both sellers and customers will be able to search and filter the catalog by these tags.

In this case, just add preferred ID as a tag once for each offer and you're set.

Every other marketplace has this function. You could search by Artikelnumber not only via decription. Maybe we want to add some softwarevendors we need this function to find the right articles, relay, etc.

I totally agree with Olli - currently it is possible to do this kind of search in the partner center. (see attached screenshot) So i guess that these informations are also available in the databases/exports from Microsoft when you build up your catalog?

From my Point of view, these option search methods in the marketplace have versatile advantages:

• the combination of Product ID and SKU ID is unique

• the combination of Product ID and SKU ID is an indicator in the ERP System to match pieces of information

• its faster to pick up the combination from Product ID and SKU ID out of the pricelist and search this at the marketplace

• search results are unique

Hopefully, AppXite think about the idea again and bring it to the live system.

We've considered this before and for now decided the demand for it is too niche. But since you're asking, let's revisit.

Which IDs do you mean? Perhaps you mean Material ID MS uses in pricelists? And could you provide examples from experience in your business for which purposes or in which circumstances searching by offer names is not enough, who usually needs to search by IDs, and how often does this need occur?
